Montana Jose/Joe is a Los Angeles based musician and producer with an individualistic flare for a variety of electronic musical genres. Heavily influenced by Eastern European, African, and Latin American sounds. Montana Jose uses his moniker to transcend cultural boundaries and prove that music has no limits.

As a remixer, DJ and producer, Montana’s work has lead to collaborations with artists such as Obsidian Nights, Palenke Soultribe, Acapulco Gold, Cuevo Perez, Junkyard Connection, Locos Por Juana, Yasmin Deliz, Marthin Chan, Altered TEK, beYond, Class Project, Underwater Productions, White Jesus, and Maleco Collective feat Mal Verde. His music has been featured on radio and television shows including, MTV, National Geographic, popular Los Angeles based KCRW and Voto Latino’s campaign, featuring collaborations with Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama, and Perez Hilton. Montana is also featured in Undiscovered LA, a documentary about an eclectic mix of musicians in the contemporary Los Angeles music scene.

In 2012, he established Arts Faculty, Whack Family Records, and Whack Family Publishing as creative outlets for artists and musicians. Montana is currently exhibiting art and creating music in Los Angeles, CA. He is working on a new solo album as a follow up to his 2010 self-titled EP.
